After browsing the web for cheap eats in Los Angeles, I had stumbled upon a place called "Abbot's Habit", located on Abbot Kinney and California. I was lucky enough to find the menu online as well. For next week's $10 Tuesday article for the campus paper, I decided to go for one of their signature sandwiches; the Margarita (no it does not contain alcohol in it). Rather it is seasoned with garlic, balsamic vinegar, basil and includes fresh roma tomatoes and water mozzarella with a side of jalapenos and a pickle. This sandwich is not your average Subway sandwich. A good quality sandwich normally runs around $10 and up, but for a whole (shown in the photo below) it was only $8.25! I am definitely coming back. I ended up walking up and down Abbot Kinney afterwards and decided to walk into a furniture store, similar to Anthropologie's style, called Tumbleweed and Dandelion. I literally wanted to buy everything in that store. Majority of their pieces were vintage and the bedding reminded me of prairie home decor. As a child I used to dread going with my parents to IKEA or any other type of furniture store, but now I'm starting to appreciate design and home decor even more now that I'm older. For inspiration really. Oh...and I'm a sucker for DIY projects.
