I love KCRW!

This photo was actually taken by Connie Alvarez but these are the cupcakes I purchased and designed online as a thank you treat and show of appreciation. I've experienced what it's like being an intern at KCRW from February-June and as a volunteer after the internship. Choosing me to be a part of the KCRW family down in the basement is the best thing that has happened to me this year; I couldn't help but to spread the love. Monika Scott and Connie Alvarez are the volunteer coordinators and they are such awesome individuals. Not only did I gain some media-related experience, but I've also met some other really cool, friendly professionals who dedicate so much of their time in the basement and out. As an inquisitive individual, I couldn't help but to ask everyone I met about how they ended up at KCRW. I love storytime. It was also nice working with other journalism and broadcasting students who support and love the station. Everyone at KCRW has motivated me even more to pursue my goals and work/study hard in the communications/journalism field and I am beyond thankful for this opportunity that was given to me.

Because I love Food Trucks

While browsing the net, I stumbled upon a post on Yatzer: "Del Popolo: The Mobile Pizzeria." It's main special feature is the wood burning oven, which can produce up to 72 pizzas! I wish we had one here in Los Angeles. I need to take a trip up to San Francisco. Peep the photos:

Busy Bee

Creepy new product at my job
I apologize for being a terrible blogger lately. I work full time and all of my energy is drained by the time I get home from work. Plus I ride my bike so you can just imagine how tired and sweaty I am. Lately I've been thinking about becoming a yoga instructor. It's not my ideal career but I feel that having a certificate in yoga would be good for making money on the side and helping people. Oh and I love yoga of course. I've been doing it for 2 years now and so far I've done mostly Iyengar and now I'm practicing more of the vinyasa flows and power yoga. The only problem about training to become a yoga instructor is the MONEY! It's almost $3,000 plus a $650 deposit. I'm saving up for college so that's definitely not the smartest decision to make at the moment but it is one of my many goals in life that I'd like to accomplish. Anyway, I'm really tired and I work again tomorrow. Bye!
